The Scrapbook

The images on this page come from the Edward Mitchell Bannister Scrapbook. The scrapbook dates from 1866-1901 and contains approximately 102 pencil, charcoal, and watercolor drawings by Edward. The scrapbook was donated to the Archives of America Art in 1984 by Alan and Melvin S. Frank. It was previously on loan to the National Museum of American Art.  The scrapbook was digitized in 2022, and contains a total of 166 images. Not all of the images are reproduced on this page and none of them are dated or titled. However, they are presented here in the general order they appear in the scrapbook.
